You have now been introduced to the definition of a social problem and have reviewed some of the different perspectives and how they explain social problems. Please review the Discussion Forum Rubric to review the discussion forum requirements so that you may earn the full points possible.
* Profile of an Activist
The United States has a history of social activists that have fought for the rights of others and addressed particular social problems, such as racism, civil rights, gender equality, etc. Choose an activist from the United States and write about who the person was, what social problem this person fought, and milestones made by this person. Your post should be a minimum of 600 words, include a couple of citations (where you got the information) and your own thoughts about this person?s activism. Did this person make a difference? Why or why not?
