How did the speaker seem to be using Cicero?s Five Canons of Rhetoric? Please understand that your speaker most likely didn?t consciously apply Cicero?s Five Canons of Rhetoric. You are using the Five Canons to evaluate the speech. You will be looking for aspects of what Cicero thought were important for an effective speech in the text of the speech that you analyze (e.g. ?Target Analysis,? one aspect of Invention). Provide direct quotations and/or examples from the speech to support your analysis.
